STORIES, TIPS AND LOCAL FINDS

Our blog gives you a closer look at the places, walks and simple pleasures that make a stay here memorable. We share useful ideas for Peak District travel, from nearby beauty spots and local attractions to practical tips for planning a relaxed break. Just a short stroll from the Arbor Low stone circle, we know how much easier it is when local advice comes from people who live and work here.

You'll find posts shaped around real visits, seasonal changes and the sort of details that help you decide where to go next. We also use the blog to pass on updates from Arbor Low B&B, so you can get a better feel for what staying with us and other guest houses in the area can be like.

STONE CIRCLE ON THE DOORSTEP

WARM DERBYSHIRE WELCOME

LOCALLY SOURCED BREAKFAST PRODUCE

A beautiful, restful and remote place with a delicious breakfast (catered well for us vegetarians) and a roaring fire. The double room comes with access to a private sitting room downstairs from the bedroom (accessed via a shared staircase and sitting room). The scrambled eggs were so tasty, as were the croissants and the fruit. The view from the hill and the standing stones nearby is gorgeous. Thanks to our hosts.
